03 LIVEHow does he live?

The site's name comes from my son's pre-birth name

Goldibug is what we called my son, now four, before he was born. It came from a dream where I was handed gold.

This is the entry retold in plain words. The sentences the author wrote are on the other side of the switch. Nobody wrote the sentences on this page by hand.

This site was made by "Goldibug's father."

Goldibug is the womb-name of my son, who is four now. In Korea a womb-name is a name parents pick and use before the baby is born.

The name came from a birth dream. A birth dream is a dream believed to announce that a baby is on the way. In that dream I was handed gold, and so he became Goldibug.

It does not carry a wish like "grow up precious." What I was handed in the dream simply happened to be gold.

How much of the day we get

A little in the morning, a little after work. On weekends I try to be with him all day.

Added up, the weekday time is not much.

I am the one learning

Raising him, I learn a step at a time. It turned out not to be a job where the adult only teaches.

So when I decide something, I try to move in the direction where family weighs more.
